FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dynamic Renewables celebrated the beginning of a multi-phase implementation of operations and the start of gas production at BC Organics, a new anaerobic community digestion facility in Greenleaf, Wis. The Ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Nov. 10, 2022, located at 1251 Mill Road.
Dynamic Renewables is the developer, owner, and operator of BC Organics. Miron Construction Co., Inc. served as the design-builder, and McMahon Group as the engineering partner. The state of Wisconsin awarded a $15 million grant managed through their Focus on Energy Program to Dynamic Renewables to develop a community digester facility to reduce phosphorus runoff in the Fox River watershed.
“It is our passion as a group because we can change agriculture, food waste, and clean water,” said Duane Toenges, CEO of Dynamic Renewables. “Is the reason we started this.” David Roeder, Director of Sustainable Lending at TortoiseEcofin and event speaker, added: “The next time you see a garbage truck, a street sweeper, or a bright yellow school bus, it could very well be fueled by renewable natural gas from this facility.”
Notable distinctions about BC Organics that elevate it from others in the industry are the significance of utilizing 16 digesters, with 11 farm’s manure contributions. Additional differentiators include the back-end water treatment, nutrient concentration, and the post- digestion separation system. “Our team has a deep understanding of the dairy farm
perspective,” Toenges said. “That knowledge, as well as our team’s operational experience, will result in great success for BC Organics and future completed digester projects.”
